Never used to think or worry about those things in the ocean - jellyfish, sharks, rays. Although I love seeing the ocean and taking in the sounds and smells, I have no more desire to set foot into it. Even walking on the beach is hazardous, according to your first image! The last image reminds me of our Lake Michigan shoreline in northwest Indiana.
I guess you have to be young and stupid to get the most out of the beach. I never liked sitting around in a bathing suit, even when I was thinner. Don't like the critters on the sand and in the water. I love LOOKING at the ocean, but being in it--not so much.

My fair complexion kept me off the beach. And all the creepy crawlies with stingers and such did, too.
